 自由廣場(Liberty Square)

This square is one of the main venues for the Taipei City Government to organize large-scale events and celebrations.

It symbolizes the end of the people's worship of political figures, the end of the Kuomintang's long history of one-party dictatorship, and the emergence of a free and democratic society with human rights and the rule of law.

The solemn building of the CKS Memorial Hall is the focal point of the whole square and its grandeur is impressive.

 國父紀念館(Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall)

This museum was built to honor Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of China's modern democratic revolution.

The museum showcases Sun's life story, historical artifacts and influence, as well as exhibits related to the modern history of Taiwan.

The building is based on the traditional Chinese royal palace style and incorporates elements of modern architectural design.

The entire complex consists of large white buildings, including the main building, the front plaza and the garden, presenting a solemn and dignified atmosphere.

台北 101 大樓(Taipei 101)

Once the tallest building in the world, this skyscraper has a spectacular exterior and observation deck.

Take the high-speed elevator to the observation deck for a panoramic view of Taipei City, including the city, mountains and coastline. From the observation deck

鼎泰豐(Din Tai Fung)

This is a prestigious restaurant specializing in exquisite Taiwanese Xiao Long Bao and other delicacies.

Famous for their thin, elastic skins and rich fillings, Din Tai Fung's Xiao Long Bao are one of Taiwan's must-try delicacies.

In addition to xiao long bao, the restaurant offers a variety of other delicious Chinese dishes including fried rice, dumplings and soups.

 


 DAY4 National Palace Museum - Jiufen Gold Mountain - Longshan Temple - Ximending night market

故宮博物院(The Palace Museum) 

The National Palace Museum in the Shilin District of Taipei City is one of the world's largest museums of Chinese antiquities, housing a vast collection of rare Chinese historical relics and artifacts.

The museum exhibits a wide range of artifacts, including ancient Chinese paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, jades and bronzes, and is an important place to learn about traditional Chinese culture and history.

The architectural style is influenced by ancient Chinese palace architecture, and the complex presents an elegant classical Chinese style.

The complex includes the main hall, the Xilai Hall, the East Dianzang Yuan and other buildings, which embody the characteristics and styles of ancient Chinese royal architecture.

 九份金山 (Jiufen Old Street)

Jiufen is a small town in New Taipei City, Taiwan, known for its narrow streets, steep hillsides and cliffs.

Jinshan is an area of Jiufen that used to be named after gold mining.

Nowadays, Jinshan in Jiufen is a well-known sightseeing spot, attracting many tourists to enjoy its unique scenery and old streets.

 龍山寺(Longshan Temple)

Longshan Temple is one of the oldest temples in Taipei City and also one of the most important Buddhist temples in Taiwan.

The temple's grand and magnificent architecture, along with its numerous Buddha statues and shrines inside, attract many believers and tourists to come and worship.

Around Longshan Temple, there are many snack shops and stores, making it a great place to enjoy Taiwanese cuisine and do some shopping.

 西門町夜市(Ximending)

Ximending is a well-known commercial and entertainment district in Taipei City and one of the city's busiest nightlife venues.

The Ximending Night Market is a bustling shopping and food district with many stores and stalls selling a variety of goods and delicacies, including clothing, accessories, snacks, desserts and more.

 


DAY5 Chingsui Cliff - Taroko National Park

清水斷崖(Ch'ing-shui Cliff)

The Ch'ing-shui Cliff, a coastal terrain located in Shoufeng Township, Hualien County, is a famous scenic spot along the Pacific Ocean coastline.

With a height of about 800 meters, the precipitous terrain and vertical walls, the cliff is one of the most representative sea erosion landforms on the east coast of Taiwan.

From the cliffs, you can overlook the magnificent ocean scenery, which makes you marvel at the ingenious work of nature.

太魯閣國家公園(Taroko National Park)

Located in central Hualien County, Taroko National Park is Taiwan's first national park and one of the most representative nature reserves in Taiwan.

The park is characterized by spectacular mountains, deep valleys, streams, waterfalls and canyons, as well as rich biodiversity.

Taroko National Park is an ideal place for mountain climbing, hiking and sightseeing.

 


 DAY6 Kavalan Distillery - Pingxi Sky Lanterns, Taipei

噶瑪蘭酒廠(Kavalan Distillery)

KAVALAN 噶瑪蘭 is the old name for Yilan, the name given to Kavalan Whisky by the earliest aboriginal people who cultivated the land into a gem by practicing hard work in the hope of repaying the land for the gifts it had given them.

One of the oldest distilleries in Taiwan and one of the country's traditional distilleries.

The distillery specializes in traditional rice wine and rice-brewed wine, and uses the finest local rice and spring water to create a pure, sweet and refreshing liquor.

台北平溪天燈(Pingxi Sky Lanterns, Taipei )

The Taipei Pingxi Lantern Festival is a traditional Taiwanese holiday celebration held annually during the Lunar New Year.

Visitors can buy lanterns near the train station in Pingxi, then light them at a designated time and place, make a wish, and release them.

The lanterns are made of bamboo frames and colored paper, and when burned, they float up to the sky, symbolizing that people are conveying their wishes to the heavens.

The Pingxi Lantern Festival attracts many visitors and is a unique and romantic cultural experience.

 


 DAY7 Sun Moon Lake - Boat Cruise

日月潭(Sun Moon Lake )

One of the most famous lakes in Taiwan, it is located in Nantou County in central Taiwan and is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Taiwan.

It is named after its shape, which resembles the color of the sun and moon. The lake surface shows two different shapes.

The eastern side of the lake is shaped like the sunrise, while the western side is shaped like the rising moon. The lake is surrounded by mountains and has beautiful scenery.

 


 DAY8 Tribes Aboriginal Park - high speed rail back to Taoyuan.

九族文化村(9 Tribes Aboriginal Park)

An aboriginal cultural theme park located in Xinyi Township, Nantou County, Taiwan.

It showcases the cultural traditions and lifestyles of Taiwan's nine major aboriginal groups.

Visitors can learn about the cultural characteristics of the Amis, Atayal, Kavalan, Bunun, Rukai, Paiwan, Saisiat, Yami and Peinan.

The architectural style incorporates the traditional architectural features of Taiwan's aboriginal people, such as bamboo huts and wood carvings, creating a primitive and ecological village style.
