Day 6 Monday, December 09

Trip Planner: Fairbanks - Lake Cabin Ice Fishing and Barbecue Tour - Fairbanks

Trip: Alaska every year from November to March, rivers and lakes are frozen, generally in the thickness of the ice reaches 8 ~ 10 cm, you can participate in the Alaska lake ice fishing barbecue trip! The main thing is to pay attention to safety, the first point is that the thickness of the ice must be more than 8 centimeters before boarding the ice, otherwise it is very dangerous when the ice is thin. As the water temperature is very low, the physiological activities of the fish are greatly affected, in a semi-sleeping state, the response to external influences is very slow, so the vigilance is very low, coupled with a very thick ice cover, reducing the impact of external changes on the fish. Ice fishing is a popular winter activity for Alaskan locals. After catching the fish, the guide will also grill a fish for each guest, so that you can taste the freshest fish, and then release the extra fish back to the snowy lake. (Adults over 16 years old need to purchase a fishing license separately, license fee: $15/person)

Warm tips: 1) due to the road to the ice fishing restrictions, BUS car models can not be accessed, the day of the trip need to be changed into a VAN car to go, please know.

2) If you are a fan of outdoor snow and ice activities, you will also have the opportunity to experience one of Alaska's most popular activities, snowmobiling. 2024-25 self-pay program prices will be released in the second half of the year, so stay tuned!
